SUMMARY:Harbor Seafood Festival
DESCRIPTION:The annual Harbor and Seafood Festival is Santa Barbara’s signature Autumn event. Timed with the opening of lobster season\, the festival is presented by the City\, Commercial Fishermen of Santa Barbara\, Inc.\, Santa Barbara Harbor Merchants’ Association\, and the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum. Festival-goers will meet local fishermen and enjoy fresh lobster\, crab\, prawns\, and other local-caught seafood. Live entertainment and other family-oriented activities round out a full day of fun. Event admission is free. For more festival information\, including vendor lists and directions and parking\, contact the Harbormaster’s Office at (805) 897-1961 or visit our website at http://www.HarborFestival.org. \nThe Squadron has a table set up for the day – usually on the pier to publicize our actives and education programs.  Members are needed to volunteer for shifts to answer questions from Festival attendees.  Please contact Squadron Event organizers if you would like to volunteer.

DESCRIPTION:This is an opportunity for an easy afternoon cruise outside Santa Barbara Harbor.  Stowaways welcome – meaning you are encouraged to bring other members and friends on your boat.  Afterwards we will all get together a a local cafe in the Harbor nearby to share tales of “the harrowing wind and waves we experienced this afternoon!”  This is always a fun event – 4-6pm or so on the water followed by an hour or two at the cafe.  Details to be provided by Dennis John prior to event. \nNOTE: Weather conditions will always dictate safety of planned cruises.
