“America’s Boating Course”

The Santa Barbara Sail & Power Squadron (Your local chapter of the United States Power Squadrons – USPS – providing quality boating education courses, vessel safety information, and social events.) is offering a course on basic boating that will teach boating basics and safety for recreational boaters (sail, power, PWC, paddle etc) to you and your crew.

Starting January 2018 California boaters will be required to have a California Boating Card.  This course is accepted by California and other states requiring NASBLA certification to operate a boat. California will phase in certification on January 1, 2018 starting with boaters 20 years old and younger!  For more information,  a summary of the new law is on our blog at California Boating Card

Schedule: 5 weeks starting October 24, 2017

Location: SB Harbor Marine Classroom above Post Office

Pricing: $50/person

Price includes Official USPS  “America’s Boating Course” Study Guide.

Couple may share the material for an additional $25
